It's that day of the weekend that most people loathe, myself being one of those.  Ugh!  I was in such a foul mood when I got into work, probably because my patience is waning with some of my work colleagues.  Perhaps it was also talking to my mom that's been away from the office since last Wednesday and it was like she wasn't a part of a conversation that was had last week.  Like, stop shaking your head at me woman and implying that I've got it all wrong.  No, you fucked up the days and everything has to be finagled around now.  It's not me, it's you.  This being my boss that so infamously throws people under the bus because she's got more shit to prove now that she's doing double duty and effectively doing two jobs.  So if it wasn't my boss irritating me this morning, it was a co-worker just being flat out annoying.  Or why am I being pulled in to do my colleague's work when she's been the one working on this and works on this shit all the flippin time?  I feel like a lot of the time at work I'm thrown shit for the simple reason that people know shit gets done, shit gets done well and correctly, and efficiently.  Yes, it's a compliment but it's annoying that people just can't do their fucking job and then I'm normally the one that is left to fix shit or make sure it's up to par where it should be.  I know you get it at every place of employment but it's just so frustrating working with people that couldn't give two shits about work and responsibilities.  "Oh someone else will do it" type attitude.  And the organization I work for is a Crown Corporation/Government type-place so these people never get fired or if they do, it literally (not even kidding you) takes years for HR to build enough ammunition against the person to get them out the door.  My colleague that I speak of, her predecessor was let go and I'm told that it took a long time and a lot of complaints from higher ups, some even coming from Directors.  I didn't mind her but she was rude as all hell and didn't or couldn't speak to people in a nice or civil manner.  Anyways, the morning was kinda blah and had me a bit annoyed but it didn't take much or long to shrug it off and let it go.

My ushe gym sesh of Shred was mixed up today in that my friend, Liane, was sick and couldn't find a sub for the class, so a Body Pump class was in its place.  I wasn't in the mind set to do that, and also because I normally do BP on Tuesdays, I decided to go to the spin class and am glad that I did go.  Tomorrow, I'll do my ushe BP and then I'm going to try and get to a hot yoga class tomorrow night to loosen up a bit.  My right quad is still a bit tender, not always but enough to let me know that if I exert it too much or go too hard, that it reminds me it still aches a bit.  Pain in the ass.

Our dishwasher I think bit the dust last night.......

Currently.. And recap

Totally stealing the below from Grace.  Go read her blog, she's awesome-sauce.  Doesn't candy-coat shit and tells it how it really is.  My kind of woman, no bullshitting. :)

-------

Currently I am...
Sitting on the train, headed home after work.

Thinking about jetting off to paradise in less than 48 hours now!!

hoping that Alex has a relaxing (and easygoing) time with the dogs while were away.

reading... Nothing at the moment. Just finished a Stuart Woods, next up is Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. The trailer looks good so I want to read the book first.

thankful for opportunities I've had and grateful for all of the experiences I've had in life, good and bad.

dreaming of ... Hmm. Dreaming of the vastness that lurks below the water's surface and grateful to be diving again this trip.

looking forward to, hello, vacation!

missing nothing. I'll be missing the dogs in a few days :(

excited about exploring Barbados again.

Jeff was up north from Saturday mid-morning onwards to yesterday at dinnertime.  I cleaned and packed all weekend and soaked up every last minute with the boys. I know they'll be okay with our friend staying at our place with them but of course, I always worry. And what with the petty bullshit from my wonderful neighbour, I just hope there's no issues. I know there won't be but still, I just hope she's not an asshole to Alex. Our friend Dina is moving into my moms to look after her dogs, along with her two girls, Charlie and Baxter's girlfriends. :)

Yesterday I took the boys for a walk to a local dog festival and they had a blast! Baxter made friends with a Cane Corso, Charlie made friends with everybody, as per usual. They were so hot on the way back. We had stayed just over an hour then made our way home, stopping every few hundred feet in the shade, for some rest and some agua. Boy did they have a good nap for the rest of the afternoon. Alex came by afterwards to iron out the rest of the details for when were gone. Jeff got home just after 6 and Alex stayed for dinner with us and then left later on in the evening.

Tomorrow is a new dog groomers were trying out and I know they'll look darling because my mom has already tried them out. We had a great groomer about a 20-30 minute drive away from us but truth is, I think she's over-extending herself, overworking, doesn't return messages and I cannot stand having to chase people for things. And especially as a small business owner, you'd think she's work a bit better at keeping her long time clients..even after sending her a message early last week about needing to firm up a date ASAP, nothing. Just crickets.
It's been nearly three months since my rug rats had a cut, and they're not a mess, don't get me wrong, but I stipules by have to chase you from July 28th til the beginning of September to get a date out of you. Whatever though, just glad they'll be looking dapper tomorrow! I'll be sure to post pics :)

Have a good night! xo

Tuesday Tuesday!

It totally feels like fall this week and that ain't cool.  What the EFF?!  And if it's feeling like fall, we know what else quickly follows up here in these neck of the woods........dun dun dun WINTER.  Ugh I don't even want to utter those words so let's not and say we did.

I did a double today at the gym.  I did a BodyShred class and then a 15 minute break followed up by an hour of BodyPump.  Holy sweat balls!  But I feel fantastic this afternoon.  Love the adrenalin buzz!  Yesterday we had a meeting at work from 10 am to 1:30 so that meant I wasn't going to the gym for my usual, which made me a bit grouchy and peeved at my boss.  So today I said fuck it and went to the gym for a long sesh because, after all, she wasn't going to notice, she was in an all day meeting.  WOOP WOOP!

This past weekend was good.  On Saturday we went with my mom out to Brooklin to get her some raw dog food and see Lori's Leonbergers.  Afterwards, we went back home and sat around for a bit before heading back over to my mom's for her annual BBQ.  The weather turned out good, a bit overcast but it didn't rain and thunderstorm like the weatherman predicted.  Left her house later that night feeling very full.  I did two house calls to the house with the Dane that I fell in love with.  This time I was visiting him, he had 26 staples in his leg from having his ACL repaired 5 days before.  Guiness, one of the two Golden Retrievers, was a huge ham, as was Rosie but everyone was great.

Sunday was a day of rest and much appreciated :)

Cute little country store we came upon on Saturday that I've been wanting to go in forever

So happy Harp and Guinness are :)

And Rosie barking at Diesel, confined in his area because of his knee, and all she wanted to do was play.

It's Friday kids!  This weekend is Bachelorette Weekend with Tara, the unsuspecting bride.  She knows that something is going on tomorrow but isn't sure what exactly yet.  Plus, we're all throwing her bogus stories and details where none of them make sense if you add them all up and put them together.

Current songs in my head for the last week:
  • "Best Friend" by Foster the People
  • "Sleeping with a friend" by Neon Trees.
  • "Stay with Me" by Sam Smith
  • "Saturday" by Basshunter
I get stuck on certain songs for a awhile, which is why I have a BodyPump song stuck in my head from my class at the gym. LOL Such a loser!

Jeff and I went biking last night, it was too nice of a night not to.

I don't have a white girl flat ass anymore. I can thank lots of squats and lunges for that :)

I hope you all have a great weekend. I'll be taking my DSLR this weekend so hopefully will get some good pics to post for Monday.

Ciao!

Tuesday's musings.....

My weekend was pretty chill, quiet because Jeff wasn't around, he was up north doing his monthly thang with his brother and father.

I spent Friday night doing grocery shopping and not much else other than watching the boob tube.  Saturday morning I biked over to my mom's house to visit Toby, the Pomeranian that she's looking after (the one that I've cared for previously, visiting him at his house though) and then I also previously wrote that my mom was also looking after a crazy cute dachshund.  Cuteness overload at her house. I stayed for over an hour, then biked back home so that I could get dressed/ready to go out to look at a townhouse with our friend Dina.  We looked around at said house, drove around a bit and then settled on a late lunch at a place with a view like this:

Gorgeous view and the afternoon's weather improved greatly, the morning was pretty overcast and cool.  It almost felt like fall.

Left lunch, went home and then cleaned a bit before a friend and her boyfriend came over for a visit.  They stayed a couple of hours and then I went to sleep.

Sunday morning was uneventful.  Woke up, ate breakfast and showered so that I could meet up with the Bride who's wedding I'm part of in August for her dress fitting.  Her dress had finally come in and it was time for the first fitting and deciding what alterations needed to be made.  Gorgeous dress, beautiful bride, I just can't wait for the wedding.  Her bridal shower is actually coming up this Sunday at a fellow wedding party's mom's house in their backyard.  I'm hoping the weather cooperates and we can all be in the garden for the afternoon.  The shower also falls on my petsitting weekend but I've managed to cover from about 12 to 5 so that I'm free and clear to head on over to the shower.  I've got a ton of stuff to prepare:  lemonade, raspberry iced tea (all from scratch), fruit shish bobs, I've got to pick up some wild flowers.  I've already got my pseudo gift and card for her.  It's going to be a busy weekend.

Here are a few current pictures of the dogs:

Going down in the elevator to meet their gf                   My sunbeam, Charlie.  He loves the sun!
Lily for a walk

Oh and lookie here what I found:
This was the day that I picked my dress.  My mom actually wanted me to try on the dress and I was so glad that I did.  So pretty :)
Here are a few pictures from my mom's camera that she took of the goats and of my four-legged kids mucking around at my mom's house.  Enjoy :)

Weekend Recap! And it's Tuesday!!

I worked this past weekend and it was a busy one. I also had overnight visits Friday and Saturday night with a beautiful Shiloh Shepard named Jasmine. You'll see her below.  Finished up looking after the goats last Friday. They were fun. I felt like I hadn't seen much of Jeff or the boys all weekend and feel robbed a bit because he's going up north Thursday night for the weekend :(
Friday night's last visit with Simon, Garfunkel and Dexter.

My boss' dog, Ben.

Charlie the kitty, stoned from cat nip.

Off to my moms house last night for a sleepover and tomorrow a grooming! Hurray!!! :)

Since I cleared my browser history and passwords, I have forgotten my login and password to blogger so hopefully by te next time I write it'll be from a PC and not an iPhone.
