WoofTrax - Walk for a Dog App - ATTENTION DOG WALKERS OR OWNERS

So I came across this really, really cool App that is offered for (at the moment) iPhones and Androids.  If you like supporting animal shelters or rescues, this is totally the App for you that you must download to help those shelters and rescues any further.

WoofTrax, through the Walk for a Dog mobile app, creates fundraising opportunities for shelters and rescues while encouraging dogs and their humans to exercise together regularly.

I'm still trying to figure it all out but for now, it looks like it's just for U.S. Shelters and Rescues but I'll get back to you guys on that.  You simply download the app, create a file and every time you go out for a walk, turn on the app and you're helping donate your time walking, which in turn converts your healthy interaction with your four-legged friend and donates money to your selected charity on your behalf.  Pretty cool, right?  The more miles you log, the more they donate (FYI they donate twice a year, once in June and once in December).

So for now, I'm donating to Synergy Animal Hospice and Marley's Mutts, both in California.

I meant to post this blog over the weekend but with pet visits this weekend and being sick, I was a write off.  I used the App a couple of times and easy as pie.  :)  I look forward to using it more but also some modifications they do that will, hopefully, add some Canadian shelters and rescues.

(This isn't a sponsored post, I stumbled upon it through a post from Synergy.  The above is my own opinion and mine alone.)

MetCon3 at Equinoxx

WOW!  I did a MetCon 3 class with Liane yesterday and what. a. fucking. awesome. workout!!!!!

I thought I sweat my ass off in Shred or Body Pump, but those classes have nothing on MetCon 3! Nothing!  Even in terms of intensity... I thought Shred was wicked and often hard at times but seriously, it's a piece of cake compared to yesterday.  I'm going to up my weights now when I go to Shred tomorrow at lunch because it's all mental.  And what a nice club too!  I guess for $200 a month, that's what you get.  Gorgeous club, nice, new equipment, use of equipment not allowed for use unless with a personal trainer at other gyms, eucalyptus infused refrigerated hand towels (which was awesome considering I've had a bit of a cold/sore throat thing going on this week), Kiehl's in the change rooms, unlimited towels, laundry service.  All little but nice perks.  It's the small things that count, right?  I won't be switching over though, I can't afford to drop $2,400 a year for a gym membership.  But going once in awhile won't hurt.  :)  I felt amazing afterwards!!!!
