Christmas in pictures

On our way to Jeff's parents up north, 3 hours north of where we live...

Yep, that is how I felt the majority of the last week, after indulging in way too much food goodness, aka being a god damn glutton. Bring on the stretchy pants and not eating.

My in-laws' dog, Mugsy.
And the boys, home, after coming home from Nana's house.... Just plum-tuckered.  :)

Yesterday's final visit count tipped the scales at 1,890!!!  I have no idea what's that's all about and seeing what I'm at already today, I doubt today will be much of the same.  So strange.

I've got just a little under an hour left of my day at work and then I'll head over to the gym at Noon to get in my last work out until next Monday.  I'm going to have to do some shit at home over the holidays so I don't turn completely soft.

Tonight, Jeff and I will just hang out together (as we usually claim Christmas Eve as our own, to do our own thing, without having to drive anywhere or leave our place).  We'll open gifts for eachother and we'll also organize gifts for tomorrow morning, going to my mom's house, and then sort out everything going up north with us.  We have to pack a bag to head up north with, clothes and what not to survive in the deep north (kidding, not really lol).  Tonight I'll also brush the crap out of the boys so that they look like perfect little handsome boys tomorrow.  :)

So in case I can't get to a PC before tomorrow or tomorrow, Merry Christmas and Best Wishes to you and yours.  I hope you all have a great one!!! xoxox

Hodge Podge Post

Holy shit, 1,146 views since I last logged in yesterday.  Something is awry?! My audience is never, ever quite that large...
------
Anyways, just mailing out a last minute card this morning and getting a couple of little things for a stocking stuffer I'm doing for Jeff.. I figure why not, they're fun to open.
-------
I was going to go to a 12 o'clock Body Pump class today but a co-worker offered to take me for some Thai food as thanks for coming in early for some hearings and going a bit above and beyond in terms of helping out where it's needed, especially in the last couple of months when it's been insanely busy.
------
Lunch was DELISH and I'm so glad I went to the gym beforehand.  As you can see, I don't get out much.  My drink has an ice cube that lit up.  LOL

Okay we're at 1,873 hits today.  W T F is going on?!  Not that I'm complaining but that's not even close to the traffic I get on my page... Not even close.  I'm flabbergasted.  It's not even one blog post but it seems like a shit ton of the posts are getting viewed.  I have to be getting spambotted...Right?
--------
So I'm home now, the boys were thrilled to see Momma walking through the door.  :)  I managed to get a few stocking stuffers for Jeff but need a few more when I'm out tonight getting some dog food for the little boys.  They'll be staying at my Mom's house from Christmas Day to Sunday while we're up north at Jeff's parents visiting them.  There's actually SNOW up there (3 hours north of where we live - it looks all but spring here, everything has for the most part melted..) and we'll get to shoot some stuff at the range.. So it'll be good.  Speaking of guns, I'm finally getting my restricted/unrestricted license in January.  Tara's husband, Erik and I are spending a weekend doing it together; Tara already has hers and Jeff, too, of course).  January is going to be a BUSY month... I'm petsitting the weekend of January 3-4, Jeff's monthly match is the 10/11 weekend, my course is the next, then I swapped weekend with one of the other girls and working the 24/25 weekend and then the following weekend is Jeff's birthday.. weekend after that, another match of his.  Oh and we're house sitting at my mom's for 3 weeks beginning January 28th, puppy included.

Time to get off the computer, turn on the Christmas lights and wait for Jeff to get home from work (I came home a bit early today).

Ciao! xo

Most people will be in and out at the office over the next two weeks, most out, but I am working, which is just fine because I've got some things I'd like to do without any interruptions.  Today we have my work Pot Luck and Dirty Santa Gift Exchange, which should be a good time.  I tweaked the time we start to accommodate me fitting in a Shred class at the gym in just over a half hour.  LOL.  Hey, when you're the planner, you can tweak times to accommodate yourself.  And I don't feel guilty one bit.  I ended up making meatballs (they're sooo good), and they always go over really well.

I got myself a new dress yesterday from Jacob, it's going out of business, so what would have normally been a $150 dress was $75.00.  SCORE.  It's gorgeous, black with grey leopard print. Last night Jeff wrapped the rest of the gifts that I hadn't done the night before, so really all we have left to get is the Bajan money for Brian, my step-dad and then a few gift cards for the nieces.

Looking forward to getting the shopping done this weekend, cleaning and watching some movies and catch up on some tv shows.  I'm finally in the festive spirit, our Christmas tree looks great, we have lights in our window and I'm just so excited to get Christmas started.  I love gift giving, and apart from all the anxious, grumpy assholes out there that try and ruin it for others, it's such a lovely time of year.

Here is the dress I got and another pic of my abs, because I'm quite proud of them lately.  LOL

------
And now the Pot Luck is over and I feel super, duper full.  But I'm excited because tonight I get to meet my mom's new 9 week old Bichon she picked up this morning!!!

Happy Weekend and Merry Christmas!  I'll be back later this weekend or Monday.

Cheers!

The Weekend and Stuff...

So I typed the below yesterday (Monday):

Why do I feel like I'm constantly this piece of shit human being that will never be good enough? Every time I have an argument with Jeff I go to the deepest, darkest place and literally cut myself down to shards?! It fucking sucks man.

Anyways... We were finally able to get most of the shopping out of the way, thank Christ. Hate crowds, hate the crazy  parking lots filled with angry people.

Saturday night some pretty heavy shit went down.... Along the lines like my life could've taken a 180. So much to says I feel humbled and grateful.

I didn't sleep Sunday, so if I'm not making much sense that's why. So exhausted I'm bordering delirium.

So on that note....

Old City Hall was looking pretty on Friday after work..

The CN Tower, just before boarding the train home, Friday as well.

My cuddlebum Charlie

And here's a throwback to I would say....11 years ago.  Ah, young love. :)

Black Friday

K here's a nagging question that has always baffled me.  Why does it seem that for Thanksgiving, most Americans have the bulk of the week off?  I feel like us Canadians get the short end of the stick.  No but, for reals, yo.  Our Thanksgiving, we get the Monday off, that's it.  I can't tell you how nice it'd be to also have the Friday off, too.  Or November 11th, freaking Remembrance Day.  I'd love to have that day off to pay my respects for my grandfather that was in the war but oh no, I've got to work on that day.  Banks and Government get it off but because we're not necessarily government but more "crown corporation" we don't fall under that rule.  Just seems like in general, Americans get way more holidays than us folk north of the border.

Anyways... it's Friday.  Wooo!  It's not long after 9 am and it's Black Friday.  I know some people take today off to go shop but I just don't have the patience nor the will.  I'm sure some deals are worth it but others are not.  I guess you've got to do your research.  For me, I like to shop with a plan and get in and get out.  I don't like crowds of miserable/antsy/pissed off people.  I think it also stems to me working at the mall when I was growing up. I'm just over malls, that's all I guess.

We have our "Festive Gathering" at work this afternoon.  So I'll be gym-ing it up and doing my Shred class at 11:30 then I'll come back to work, scarf my lunch, change and then head to that thing just after 1:30.  Show my face for a bit then get the fuck out of dodge and head home.

You know you're an adult when you get excited for a new dishwasher.  LOL!  This morning just after 8 am, our new dishwasher arrived.  Hallejuiah to that, I am so sick of doing dishes!  First world problems, you see?  Horrible, I know.

Tonight, a friend of ours, Christina, is coming over for dinner.  Should be a good time, she's hilarious and just a good person to be around.

Tomorrow morning Jeff is going out for a bit with our friend Bruce.  I've got to brush the crap out of the dogs between today and tomorrow because I'm taking them to get their pictures with Santa done. Yes, I am that person, but I'm okay with that.  Some people have kids... some people have animals.  :)  Tomorrow evening, Tara and Erik are coming by for a couple of drinks and Sunday...?  Who knows.  Maybe dog park or just a lazy day, we'll see.  Another relaxing weekend = me like!  Next weekend is my petsitting weekend and the following week we move into my mom's for a week to house sit/pet sit for a week (9th to the 16th) and then Christmas is right around the corner.  Somewhere in between all of us we've got Christmas shopping to do for his mom, two nieces and one nephew, my mom, my step-dad, my aunt, our friend Dina.... I think that's it and then for each other.  We've got gifts for Jeff's Dad and brother already and a little something for Dina but the bulk of we've still got to shop for.

Anywho, that's all for now. :)  Have a wonderful weekend everyone <3 p="">

Currently I'm....

Watching... Forensic Files on HLN

Eating... Nothing, I'm drinking water al day due to eating like a glutton yesterday.

Thinking about... Already going home (we're not headed home til Sunday, soooo a little premature on my part). I just want to go home, unpack our gifts, laundry (thankfully my mom has done three loads of our laundry since we left her house yesterday!! So sweet of her :) she's honestly the BEST mom ever!), also have to take down the tree and lights, but I'll probably leave our lights in the window, they're cute.

Talking to... I just got off the phone with my mom...

Excited about... Goin home. Actually, I'm excited to have New Years Day (next Thursday), I booked Friday and Monday because I'm pet sitting next weekend and I like a couple of days to just relax... And then I took Monday January 5th because the 6th through the 9th and Monday the 12th, we're all working fucked up early hours and I have to wake up at 445 to take the early train into work...

Stressed about... Nothing. Paying off set in 2015 and life will be a lot less stressful and it'll be a relief off our back. We'll probably have to buy a car in 2015 top, if my then 2016 for sure!!!

Needing.... Well I got gift cards for Lululemon, the mall, etc., so while I don't need anything I'll go and buy some heels for work (since I've got a couple of pairs at work in bad shape), and since I'm at the gym daily, I can never have enough Lulu tights .... I also want some harem pants, they look so comfortable :)

Going to cook.... Going to eat tourtière Mmmm!

Christmas 2013 and Week Off..

I literally cannot believe it's been SIX days SINCE Christmas 2013 already.  Today is my first day back to work in over a week.  Everyone booked the day today except three of us in my office branch.  I didn't mind because the day before a statutory holiday, we normally get told we can go home early and such is the case this year, as my boss's boss told me this morning we could leave at Noon.  Perfect.  I was going to go to the gym to lift for Noon for an hour, so instead I'll just come back and change before heading home.  I have to pick up my winter jacket at the tailor's because I had to get the zipper replaced.  Sometime between Christmas and the next couple of days, my jacket must have snagged on something and ripped two teeth out, along with the zipper and I had to get it replaced.  It was either that or spending at least $200-$300 on a new jacket, when I loved mine still and it was in perfect condition.  Thankfully it was able to be fixed because I was hoping to at the very least get another winter, if not two left of this jacket.

This evening, New Years Eve, I think it's a bit overrated.  We were going to come back downtown (coincidentally, right beside my office tower) for a celebration at Nathan Phillip's Square but frankly it's too flippin cold.  And we don't feel like getting caught up in a crowd and huddling for warmth until midnight just to see the clock ring in.  I can do that from my living room couch.  I suggested we bundle up and take the kids for a midnight stroll OR alternatively, we go snowshoeing at midnight.  Should be alright though, I'm not big into drinking so it's pretty insignificant for me, well both of us really.

Christmas was a blur but it was a good one nevertheless.  We did Christmas between Jeff and I a bit early this year.  I bought him an IDPA membership for 2014 and a Citizen Eco-Drive watch that he'd been eye-balling for a long time.  He bought me a Citizen Eco-Drive watch as well (it's gorgeous btw, see pic!), a gift certificate to Lululemon, in which I bought a pair of the lined casual pants in a deep plum colour, identical to my black pair but these puppies were lined.  He also got me lifting gloves, a day planner and a calendar, and two recipe books from my fave restaurant, Fresh.  Jeff spoils me rotten.  And we can never wait until Christmas to spoil eachother. LOL.  OH well, no one can dictate when we can and can't celebrate on our own together.  It's just nice and intimate just the two of us with the boys.  The boys opened their prezzies and got new collars and two stuffies, which as I type this, are destroyed a whole five days later lol.  This year I received sweaters, more sweaters (hey, just what I need since I'm always cold), jewelry, gift cards, pyjama's, an e-reader (!!), which I'm surprisingly liking a lot.  I've been reading a lot lately so it's perfect.

Christmas morning, we went to my mom's house, had breakfast and opened presents with her.  We left our dogs with her and my step-dad so we didn't have to worry about them up north.  We headed up north later on in the afternoon and stayed until Friday late in the afternoon, to which we then made our way back homebound.  Picked up the kids later on that evening, reaffirmed that they missed us and love us still.  Saturday we did some errands and Sunday, Jeff took a buddy to a hockey game.  Here are some pictures of the last week or so.... :)

Our funny faces compilation lol

Below are up North pictures....

Being all cute in Wally-mart lol

My in-laws' house up north

And since I forgot to add it above, here's the watch. :)
All in all, a great week off was had and another Christmas has come and gone and a new year is upon us.  Have a safe and happy new years everyone!  All my best wishes for 2014.  xox
