Merry Christmas before I forget!

Well we survived the Ice Storm of 2013.  Scrapped the car three or four times over the weekend and we were still taking off huge layers of ice off the car when we went out yesterday.  Almost 300,000 people are without power, thankfully we are not included in that statistic.  We drove around all over the place and there were so many pockets of neighbourhoods in darkness and yet you'd look across the street and they would be on.  So strange.

 

Our trip to Barbados next year has already been booked.  We're heading down there on September 10th for 2 weeks!! WOOOOOO!  Can't wait.  And to boot, my mom is treating us to the hotel and flight so all we have to worry about is spending money and money for scuba diving.  We'll have to get our regs serviced next year, even though they haven't been used that much.  It's not something I want to fuck around with being that a regulator is your lifeline in the water.  So I don't mind spending some money getting them serviced.  The only thing we won't be taking down is tanks and weights (for the obvious reasons).

 

Christmas shopping has officially concluded.  We purchased our last gift yesterday afternoon with success.

 

Now I'm off to the gym for a Jillian Michaels Shred class and then I'll be going home.  I think I've finally caught a bit of Jeff's sickness.  While he's feeling a bit better than he had been, it seems my throat feels like there should be razor blades down within in.  Blah!  I can't get sick, especially this close to Christmas for god sakes!!

My weekend

As you can see, my weekend was filled with dog stuff and happy that it was.  Had a lazy weekend apart from grocery shopping and cleaning this weekend, surprisingly the grocery shopping bit took a long time as I did our monthly load at Costco.  Got a whole whack of new vitamins too, some flaxseed oil, fish oil, evening primrose, multivitamins.. I'm really on a health kick and I'm hoping that once I get my allergies tested again, I can perhaps reintroduce fresh fruits into my diet instead of carrying around this lousy Epipen in my bag every bloody day.

We got dumped on much like the entire eastern seaboard on Friday so the dogs had much fun tromping around in (their) shoulder deep snow and then having extended naps afterwards to recuperate.

That is all my friends. :)

So our anniversary has come and gone and a nice one it was indeed. We went out for steak that night and then came home afterwards.  Twas a good night.  Jeff liked the 4 leaf clover. :)

So I'm going to get some ink on my wrist tonight!! WOO, I'm excited about that.

Not much exciting going on.  This weekend was pretty uneventful, didn't do much on Saturday, cleaned, errands, etc. Alex came down Saturday afternoon.  Stayed til Sunday. We went to Ikea yesterday and I bought candles and nothing really substantial

Alright, I've lost interest with this 30 day thing. LOL.  I just don't update this every day, I think that's the problem.....

Last night, after work, I headed up to the Rosedale Statiojn to meet my mom to see Oliver at the Veternarian Emergency Clinic.  Man, was he ever happy to see us.  He was sleeping when we got there, legs in the air like a piggy, and then he flipped over, got up and came over to the (now) opened cage for kisses and started making his usual Oliver noises :)  He might be coming home today, which is fabulous news!

Just about finished my Scuba studying, I've got 2 chapters left to read and one quiz to do then I'm done.  I have to call Jack and confirm the time but we'll be at his place both Saturday and Sunday pretty much all day....  I'll get to don my new wetsuit.  Which reminds me, I need a new bathing suit and how depressing is that shit. lol.  I'm opaque and it seems everything looks like garbage on me.  I've been loving these aerial silks classes, I've lost some inches on my butt and hips and legs but I have this one spot on my ass that like to hold on to the cellulite.  No getting rid of that non sense for anything I've tried :( Oh well.  I found two suits, basically the same, both Billabong.  One is black and teal, the other is black and purple.  And it costs $95 dollars.  I can't decide if I want it or not but the mere fact that I'm dwindling about it suggests that I do.  That's just what I do when I want something, if I can walk away and still have the urge or want for something, then I have to get it.  If I can walk away and not fuss about it, then I know I've made the right decision.  So, not sure what to do....I have a couple of days left, that's it.

Next weekend, Christina is coming down from Barrie for a visit, which should be nice since it's been a year and a half since Jeff and I saw her last.

Had a third session with the massage therapist today and my shoulder/arm/wrist is starting to feel better.  The two knots in my shoulder and shoulder blade are pretty big though, those are going to take some time, exercise and better posture.  I used to do modeling and dance and I know posture is everything but dammit it feels good to slack.  Just have to tell my back muscles to supercede the pectoral muscles that always want to win and thus the slump forward, bad posture.

Oh well.  See, I write this blog because often I like to write down my thoughts just for my own sake. Funny, got a "Gay" comment yesterday which I find amusing. Really, then don't read it, Mmmhmm?

Tomorrow, going to Buffalo to do some shopping with Tera. Wooooo!

19 days until our European getaway.  Going to miss the two boys though, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.....I know, they'll be in good hands but still, ya know?

They kids are going for a sleepover at my Mom's house tonight so that means tomorrow night when I go and fetch them, they'll be nice and wiped out from all the happenings over there. :)
