It's Friday, Friday...Gotta get down, it's Friday... Oh dear God, I'm singing Rebecca Black. How can this be. Almost as bad as singing "Boyfriend" by Bieber in my head. Although, with that kid, I have to admit, I did watch his movie after much shit talking and I was left speechless at just how talented he was, even as a child. He's definitely got talent and you know what? If he can make shitloads of cash doing what he's doing at the tender age of 17, why the hell not? His fame isn't going to last forever so he's taking it to his full potential and running with it. It's really incredible how much money that kid has made and the worldwide hysteria. Anyways, enough Justin Bieber, really.
I've got Mia and Monty this weekend, the wee cat that has heart attacks, the poor thing. Tomorrow morning after my 7 am visit with Mia and Monty, going to go back home and walk to the farmers market with Jeff and likely a coffee in hand. Sometime tomorrow we're going to try to make it down to the Beaches, Cherry Beach where they have an off leash dog park on the beach.
Sunday there's Canada day festivities on Main Street, plus I've got the cats. And Monday I plan on visiting Sheila and all her dogs. Need to get me some Ella time in :)
So should be a good weekend, I'm looking forward to it and it's supposed to be really hot out.
Have a great one :)

I'm such a creature of habit and I have my routines, I'm not sure if it's because I like structure or if it's the mild OCD. Or a combination of both.
I drink two coffees in the morning with my oatmeal. Always a creature of habit in this respect. Then I move along to drinking water for the balance of the work day and ensure that I drink no less than 2 litres.
I get grouchy if I can't get to the gym or practice some yoga. I guess that's not a bad thing being disappointed you didn't make it or have time for the the gym, it shows just how much I enjoy it.
When I get home at night, I drink 1-2 coffees, which probably is really what keeps me going and not passing out by 7 pm.
I'm such a creature of habit it's sickening.

Had an amazing weekend. It was my weekend dog walking/pet sitting and as such, I had 4 dogs and 5 cats. I had one cancel, the cairn terrier. But I did have three Greyhounds I was looking after and man oh man, what magnificent creatures they are. You can see the muscle structure in their legs, their veins...the gallop and gait that they have that is ever so graceful considering just how tall and long they are. Instantly the second I walked in the door I was jumped by Jagger and got kisses in the face, along with a nose snout in my eyeball. LOL. Then I look just beyond him and there's two silently wagging tails in the living. I was expecting one. Not two, just the one. What a great experience that way and to boot, I took Jagger out on his own but when I came back and was about to take the girls out together, oh no, Jagger had other plans so we ALL went for a walk. Strong dogs but they're smart and they listened (I'm sure it helped that they have obedience titles too!). Beautiful dogs and wonderful that this woman has taken in those dogs. Once living a life of racing and having the scars to prove it, they definitely have a better life with their Mom in their forever home and they're definitely cherished.
Apart from my exciting weekend doing that, Alex came down on Friday for a visit and he's still there this morning, I'm sure Charlie has him anchored to the couch as he snoozes. :) Baxter, well he's just happy to have a living body home and around to keep him company. But he's indifferent.
Friday night we had delish Mexican.. Man that is some damn good food at that restaurant. Greg came over on Saturday and we all went down to Yorkdale mall for a bit. I got me a couple of tank tops from Bench, all the while Jeff tried to get pics of this Snooki looking character in the mall. LOL.
Sunday morning, in between house calls, Jeff and I walked over to Fairy lake and I did another Sunday morning Yoga in the park, which was exactly what I needed. Here are some pictures from Lululemon that puts on the event.
This upcoming weekend is the Long Weekend and I haven't a clue what were doing, if anything. Tomorrow, Kristen graduates from grade 8 so Jeff will be heading up to that. Our 4th wedding anniversary is on Thursday as well. I'm sure we won't be doing anything as we can't really afford it but that's okay.
Have a great week! <3

In 1974, Daphne Sheldrick rescued a minutes-old baby Rhino, still in his fetal tissue, because it's Mum had been frightened off by a tourist van. On June 4th, quite possibly the oldest Black Rhino on the African continent died at the age of 38, "killed by a spear wounds for the myth held by Far Eastern races that rhino horn is a cure-all and an aphrodisiac, despite being simply compressed hair th...e same substance as a finger nail. If the Chinese, Vietnamese, Thais and Indonesians chewed their fingernails, they wouldnt have to cut them, and would therefore be ingesting an identical substitute. But, how does one change the mind-set of 2 billion people who through ignorance threaten the very existence of this iconic species who has trodden the earth unchanged for 60 million years?"
Rest in peace Hoshy ♥

Holy shit, I'm writing twice in a day. lol. Productive Evening I've had. Came home. Fed dogs. Dicked around on the net lurking on a blog of a woman whom I used to know (okay not know, but I used to admire back in the da y on BME - she's gorgeous. And still is to this day!!). Made some dinner. Watched crap reality tv (what?). Vacuumed. Stripped bed. Made bed with fresh sheets. Filed loose bills. Talked to Jeff a couple of times on the phone. Checked and printed out my schedule and client information for the weekend. I'm petsitting at a client's house this weekend, well tomorrow night and Saturday night. He's a springer spaniel. Should be interesting to see if he'll sleep with me over night as I'm working the 7 pm to 7 am at the house. Then back again I'll go Saturday night. Can't wait. Hopefully I can pick up some more hours if need's be once M gets back from her vacation in the states with her hubby. Oh and I also walked the dogs.
The end. <3
The end. <3
Life is... up and down. Funny how that is, eh? One minute things can be great, and other times, I have fleeting moments of sadness or frustration or anger. But it fades, doesn't it? Somehow, it always does and happiness is always restored.
We had such a fun weekend last weekend. We took the dogs on Saturday morning up to Alliston to play around in the pool at farm where there's agility, a dog pool, and there's well over 60 dogs on the property, mostly all rescues but the woman ALSO breeds Golden Retrievers. We went a bit early to watch some of the other dogs, but in our 11:30 group were the boys, Lily and a Golden named Morag (oddly enough, my dogwalker/pet sitting boss's name - apparently a more common name than I had previously thought since we've heard it three times in the last couple of months)...anyways.... I knew from the get-go that the dogs weren't going to be leaping larry's into the pool like the waters are immediately drawn to water like it's the second nature. So I took with us the life jackets but knew that they would be least likely to want to try out the pool with it on because of the bulk of it. We had Charlie go in first, but the way Charlie is, he likes to do things on his own terms. So he was getting all mouthy, barking, growling, just playing around like a goofball and then he started shivering and shaking like a poor little boy. Charlie was pretty good, I was proud considering, but I knew in the back of my mind that my little man Baxter would be great. And sure enough he was. No fear at all, walked right in with some minor hesitations and was cool as a cucumber, I was so proud. The water was flippin cold though and I even had my shorty wet suit on.
So I talked to Jeff and he’s cool with us going back in July to fart around in the pool. Some of the small breed dock diving competitors want us to give them a run for their money and want us to get right into it… We’ll see though. Definitely good stimulation, exercise and fun for them both.
Afterwards, we took the wet/sleepy kids back home and set off to go to Woofstock downtown for the rest of the afternoon. Much fun was had by all, I’m glad we went on Saturday though, it was hella hot on Sunday. Too hot. So hot in fact two fucktards that attended Woofstock that went up to Vaughn Mills afterwards, decided to leave their year old Lab puppy in the car to die. Who fucking does that? Chances are, if you’re hot, your animal with FUR is hotter than hell, too. Unacceptable. I’ve been reading various reports in the media that she was an animal lover, worked at a pet store, rescued kittens in the past and it was just a mistake…blah blah blah. I don’t think so; that’ s just plain idiotic and wreckless and careless. Any intelligent pet owner knows better than that.
Well that’s all I’m going to write about for now. Housesitting a Springer Spaniel this weekend named Hamish. :)
Here’s some pics of the weekend.

So one of the things that's been heavy on my mind lately is that I really, really, REALLY want to do something with animals, dogs, something. Don't get me wrong, I really like my desk job, but I dunno. I guess I should be more grateful or something, I am. It's just that I'm most happiest these days around this dog walking/pet sitting. And I'd be almost willing to say that I'd take on several jobs just to make it happen. And still, I could contribute to my RRSP as much as I am now, plus my pension contribution and still earn interest for when I'm an old fart. That's the part that no one seems to understand or want to hear. So, I'm forced to suppress my thoughts and thus my dreams and what I'd like to ultimately be doing in a couple of years. That is, leaving Bay street and doing something enriching, helping others. Fuck, why didn't I think of these brilliant career moves oh, ya know, a decade ago?! I guess it's true when "they" (whoever they is lol) you go through several career changes in your lifetime. And I mean, it's not like I don't know that we have debt to pay off; I do. Like I said, it's not like I want to quit my job and say, "Hey, I wanna be a couch potato!", no that's not it. I guess for the time being, I can continue to do what I'm doing, pay down and off debt, save money and then perhaps move into a house in a couple of years and maybe, just maybe I could get away with say being a yoga instructor and a dog walker/pet sitter. :) That would be flippin' wicked, actually.
Went to yoga today after a bit of a hiatus, about a week. Backs of my legs were a bit tight, that's for sure. Mind you, I was also used to doing a month of hot yoga where you're more pliable. Can't decide if I'll do yoga tomorrow or do a kick boxing class. Hmmmm, decisions.
This weekend we have dock diving - I've got mixed emotions about this.. Lol primarily because they're all frou frou at the moment and look AWESOME (new groomer I found and I love her!!) Here's a couple of pictures.

Cute huh? :) As I was saying... Dock diving on Saturday - well, we'll give it a go. See if they jump. Going to take the life jackets in case but I honestly don't think they'll even attempt to jump in the water with that bulky thing on, but I could be wrong. Then at some point this weekend, whether Sat afternoon or Sunday, we'll be going down to Woofstock, I can't wait!!
If I don't write before the end of the weekend, peace!

I've been dog walking/pet sitting for over a week now and I just love it. The first few days was mainly cats, and then last Saturday I walked a beagle mix, a maltese and a cocker spaniel. This weekend, I've got an old english sheep dog that watches me for cues all the time, it's great to see. Only trouble is, it's been raining the past couple of days here and when I took her out last night, she just got soaked. And I realised that I need some rain boots for days like yesterday. So that'll be the plan in July, to buy me some Hunters.
This morning I visit my girl Daphne, the sheep dog and then Sophie a cockapoo and Dozer, a mastiff/dane cross. All very lovely dogs. Man the Mastiff is strong, but then again he IS dane/mastiff, hello!! lol.
Just got back a short while ago from having taking the boys up to a new groomer's that I'm really liking and have connected with. Great woman, she's been through a lot in the last few years and she just seems to get me and what I want for the boys. I don't want them spending 5-6 hours at a groomers and coming home shaved when I could do that exactly butcher hair cut for free at home, and to boot, without stressing the living jesus out of my furrbabies. Quiet day at home now; Jeff went up north with his brother and his kids last night so that they could cut the grass at their parents before they get back from Florida, but they also went up to shoot some guns. :) Boys....
This time next week we'll be trying out dock diving with the dogs :) Who knows if it'll be a waste but I want to at least try to see if they'll take a leap of faith off the dock into the water. Woofstock is also next weekend. WOO! :)
Anyways, off to clean while I have no one home and no one to disturb. Have a great day xo
